Life gets busy sometimes. And overwhelming. Our modern lives have so many things going at once, it's hard to stay on top of it all. And it wears you out.
Enter the beach reset. My sister and I went to the coast for four glorious days of play. We stayed in a wonderful room with a balcony that faced the ocean. A little fireplace - a glass of wine. Let the reset begin.
Is it February 15th already? Where does the time go? I've been busy doing some pre-spring clean up in my yard. What have you been doing? Are you ready for Spring?

We've had such beautiful weather this last week. It feels like spring - but I know it's just teasing me! I'm ready to start planting my garden. I've started my seeds indoors to plant outside after the danger of frost has past. Here is the process I used to get things going.
I do not have a bucket list. Although I have been a list maker all my life and a bucket list is simply another list. The difference is the to do list is far more likely to be completed than the bucket list.
When I make my to do lists, I often put far too many items on the list than I can every complete in a day or a week. And at the end of the day when I don't have everything crossed off, I am disappointed in myself for not getting more done. The fact that I've done 14 of 20 is of no consequence.
Back in January I wrote a post about my annual word and why I choose one. I chose kindness -
But over the last month I've been thinking a lot about death and dying. I'm not afraid - I am simply so happy in the life I've been blessed with, I don't want to leave it or forget it. And that brought me to really pondering what happens when we die. An existential crisis of sorts.
